Templer HomeBuild are currently looking for an experienced Roofer to join their successful responsive maintenance and larger works team based in Newton Abbot.

We are requiring the Roofer to be completing a variety of residential works, working in occupied, void properties around the Newton Abbot area. This is a excellent opportunity for the right individuals, offering you stability and bonus incentive.

The Roofer role:

.•   You will be responsible for undertaking repair/renewal roofing works, including; repairs and maintenance of ridge tiles, repointing, guttering work and pipes.
•    Taking pride in building relationships you will communicate effectively with the scheduler, tenants and line manager.
•    Work safely and in compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
•    Work in partnership with other operatives to complete repairs when required.
•    Complete work sheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job undertaken, via a PDA.

What will you bring as a Roofer?

  • NVQ Level 2 in Roofing/ trowel related trade, or equivalent professional body
  • NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry
  • PASMA not essential but training will be given
  • Ability to work to targets in a fast paced and reactive environment
  • Ability to work professionally and considerately in a range of environments, including vulnerable tenant’s homes within Social Housing settings
  • Possession of a full current UK Driving licence, with use of a company van.
